In order not to miss this month of spring fireworks, you should not forget to plant them in the fall, following very simple rules. Autumn planting of tulips is considered the most rational. After the snow melting in autumn, rooted bulbs will grow very quickly. They will be strong plants, resistant to disease, with the longest flowering period.

Here I follow the following rule: tulip bulbs should take root but not sprout before the onset of negative temperatures. This is about three to four weeks.
For the middle belt of Russia, this period is limited to the following time frames: from the third decade of September to the beginning of November. First of all, it is necessary to be guided by the air temperature. I start to plant tulips when the street is stable during the day, not exceeding 10 degrees of heat.

Tulip bulbs need to be picked up, cleaned of the husks. Painful and small bulbs should be thrown away. Before boarding, soak the tulip bulbs in enough red manganese solution for half an hour.

For tulips planting it is necessary to identify those places where there will be no stagnant water and dampness. You should also consider such a moment – how they will fit into the garden ensembles with the rest of the spring flowers. Then everything is very simple.
In the excavated hollow on the flower bed put baskets for bulbs.
Pour a special autumn fertilizer for flowers.
Introducing some compost.
Pour ash and some HOMA (against the rotting of bulbs).
I plant tulip bulbs at a distance of about 4-5 cm from each other. Tulips look great in group planting.
Fill the bulbs with earth. Here the following rule applies – the depth of embedding is approximately equal to three sizes of the bulb.
That’s all. In November, before the onset of frost, the soil must be mulched.
